Why sweating in the sauna is healthy!
The warmth created whilst in a sauna has positive effects not only for your skin, but for your entire body. After your visit to the sauna, it is best to cool your body with a lukewarm bath or shower. The contrast between hot and warm stimulates the metabolism and strengthens your immune system. Saunas are particularly effective at helping to prevent colds during cold season.
If you already have a cold, however, it is best to avoid saunas and relax instead with a soothing massage.
